Introduction to Calligraphy

Erwin Indrawan @eindraw is a graphic designer from Indonesia with more than 10 years of experience ranging from illustration to motion-graphic design. Around mid 2013 he discovered an interest in calligraphy & lettering which quickly developed into a serious hobby. Considered himself as a self-taught, he learned the basics of calligraphy from books and studying the work of his calligraphy heroes: Luca Barcellona, John Stevens, Hermann Zapf & Louis Madarasz. He explored many types of calligraphy but he always has a special affinity with brush calligraphy. One year after practicing brush calligraphy, he decided to share his knowledge through a workshop. His first brush workshop was held in September 2014 and since then he has 5 workshops under his belt. Singapore will be the first time his workshop was held outside his home-country.
